Midwives Teaching Midwives
The Medical Education Caucus of ACNM (MECA) consists of ACNM members who are dedicated to promoting the role of midwives in medical education. MECA members believe that by promoting normal pregnancy and birth in a woman-centered philosophy, we are enhancing medical education.
The Midwives Teaching Midwives Caucus is a venue for
midwifery educators to meet together, share information, learn from each other
and participate in problem solving and professional growth.
Midwives Teaching Nurses
Directors of Midwifery Education (DOME)
Midwives Teaching Nurses (MTN) is a caucus that shares best practices, recommended texts and other teaching tips for midwives who teach undergraduate nurses. Members of this caucus provide presentations at the ACNM Annual Meeting highlighting the importance of this professional role for midwives.
Directors of Midwifery Education (DOME) is a group comprised of the current directors of midwifery education programs that are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME). Members strive to advance midwifery education through information exchange, peer support, mentorship, and advisement on issues, policies, and trends pertinent to midwifery education.
