Advanced Practitioner Workshop in Maternal Fetal Medicine

ACNM is looking for 2 to 3 midwives who work directly in collaborative practice with
maternal-fetal medicine physicians (MFMs) to attend and represent the midwifery
profession at the Advanced Practitioner Workshop in Maternal Fetal Medicine
to be held in Houston, TX on Thursday, April 30 to Friday, May 1, 2015.   Workshop organizers are looking for 2-3 speakers
to discuss and cover the following 4 areas (as applicable to the midwife's role):





1.Training
and Certification


2.Scope
of practice in MFM Practice (outpatient and inpatient)


3.Regional
and National regulations


4.Challenges
and opportunities in practice


There will be breakout sessions on scope of practice and
billing, principles of successful integration, and education and
training. From these breakouts, presentations will be made to the
group on each of the 3 areas and then allow for discussion and future work and
collaboration.


This is an excellent opportunity
to represent ACNM at a national-level meeting, and is sure to be an interesting
