ACNM Policy Agenda
ACNM is committed to protecting, promoting and advancing the practice of midwifery in the United States. ACNM will support the continued growth of the midwifery profession by advocating for policies that reflect ACNM’s standards, expand the midwifery workforce, and increase the visibility and recognition of the value of midwifery care. Read our Policy Agenda to find out how.

Abortion is Healthcare

Every individual has the right to safe, supportive, and affirming health care in which providers demonstrate respect for human dignity. ACNM supports each person’s right to self- determination, access to comprehensive health information, and active participation in all aspects of an individualized plan of care. This care has always and will always include access to an abortion and the College is dedicated to supporting abortion access for all birthing individuals.

Support Midwives "Birth Announcement" Postcards
ACNM has designed a series of "birth announcement" postcards for midwifery clients to use to let legislators know the positive impact midwifery has in their district!
