Student and New Midwives Committee

Vision


  • To be a committee that supports, pursues and expands the student and new midwife role within the college.

Purpose


  • Finding ways to make new Midwives feel more included and supported within the college
  • Identify and address student and new midwives' issues related to academics and entry into practice
  • Be the leaders in diversity and inclusion
  • Encourage participation and development of leadership skills within ACNM
  • Explore, with student liaisons, innovative mechanisms for education, preceptorship, mentorship and advocacy that impact on student/new midwives’ lives and their midwifery career


Committee Member Responsibilities

Attend at least 70% of all group meetings, contribute to project(s) consistently, and provide feedback to the group/leader.
