Billing and Coding Tips and Tools for Midwives

Avoid costly downgrades or denials caused by non-specific ICD-10 codes. Learn when you can bill for postpartum rounds, and how billing codes are used to calculate your productivity. This newly revised and updated workshop will teach you what you need to know about billing and coding in 2015. Whether you’ve attended a billing and coding workshop before or not, this year’s information is essential to the sustainability of your practice. Even if administrative staff handles your billing and coding, you need to know this material. Billing and coding expert Joan Slager will help you Identify opportunities for improving billing and coding practices using common patient scenarios. Topics will include documentation requirements for ICD-10, calculating the correct evaluation and management code for office visits, and billing for triage visits.

Rising to the Challenge: Management and Difficult Conversations for Midwives

Overview:  Fostering civility has brought national and international attention to the controversial issues of incivility in academics and work and in some instances social environments. In this workshop Jodi DeLibertis will show you how to navigate difficult conversations by helping you identify what you need in order to understand the other person's story and see how their conclusions make sense. You’ll also learn how to articulate your conclusions in a way that the other person can see how you make sense. Together we’ll learn how to distinguish blame from contribution and create learning conversations.

Presenter:  Jodi DeLibertis, Principle, Greater Good Consulting
