Professional Liability Reform

ACNM supports federal legislation to reform the professional liability system, and is disappointed at the lack of progress in this area within the context of health care reform. In September 2009, ACNM joined with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists to publish a joint ad in Roll Call, a popular newspaper read by congressional members and staff, to urge that medical malpractice reform be included in comprehensive health care reform legislation.   We urge ACNM members to print and share this ad with your colleagues as we continue to pursue this important effort.
