Midwives Teaching Nurses Caucus
We are members of ACNM who are committed to providing outstanding nursing education, and modeling the midwifery role to nursing students. Our members teach in nursing schools across the country in Associates, Baccalaureate, Masters, and Doctoral programs. We believe that teaching and 'midwifing' our students to become good nurses promotes good patient-centered care for those going into maternal newborn nursing and many other nursing fields. Additionally, our teaching encourages our students to become nurse-midwives in the future Our Membership - Teachers, clinical professors, and professors from many schools of nursing
- Represents teachers from schools from coast to coast
- Join our highly active listserv 'midwivestech' at http://www.midwife.org/emidwife-signup to share information about curricula, simulation, textbooks, and other issues related to engendering excitement among student nurses about the midwifery model of care
- Questions: if you are interested in this caucus, please email Kate Green, Chair, at kpja1234@aol.com or kgreen@nursing@umass.edu
