National Midwifery Week will be here October 5-11, 2008 and regardless of your communications objective - be it a full-blown trumpeting of the entire National Midwifery Week or a day or two of selected activities, there are myriad of ways to promote your practice and inform your community about midwifery.

We urge you to actively promote Midwifery Week and share the ideas, plans, and templates contained within this packet.

We have prepared this simple guide to provide you with the basic tools necessary to plan, stage, and publicize your chapter's and practice's events for the week.

The opportunities in the planning guide are not a task list; they are  suggestions for making your effort and the efforts of your chapter and practice both fun and rewarding.
