It was 1978, and I knew I was going to have a problem with my new health care provider when I walked up to the door of his office just in time for my first appointment and read the sign on the door: Dr.xxx yyyy, Pregnancy and Other Diseases of Women. Really? Wow....I turned around and walked away. Give me a midwife any day.
