The Moment After
I had already chosen and had been seeing my midwife for maternity care, but my moment of truth came hours before birth when the anethesiologist working L&D tried to bully my midwife into taking me in for a c/s. She stood up for me and my body (labor was very slow) and my baby. She waited my sweet boy out, watching us very carefully. She got to catch that BIG boy who was very healthy although he was posterior (hence the long labor!)
This was just one of the MANY times I've been so thankful to have not only one, but two very wonderful midwives.
