when I knew I loved my midwife

During my prenatals with my midwife - she spent time talking and listening to me. She helped me to let go of my fears. My mother and brother died in childbirth, my midwife said "you are not your mother." A light went off and I realized that I was healthy and strong. My mother was unfortunately not healthy and her doctor ignored her problems. She went to a hospital and was alone without support when she went into labor. I felt very supported throughout my pregnancy and home birth. Thank you!
