The Calling

I had never heard of a midwife. Growing up, I had never known anyone who knew or had a midwife at their delivery. A friend happened to have a copy of Spiritual Midwifery and I opened it up one day. I could not put it down- so I borrowed it and read the whole thing in one day. Then I read it again. It felt like something opened inside me, like something I didn't know I needed was revealed. This began my path from direct entry midwife to nurse to nurse midwife. Midwifery has been my one sure thing, my one True North.
