  • State Laws and Regulations Affecting Midwifery Practice (Members Only)
State guidance documents are stored in the ACNM Library. Meant to be advisory in nature, documents address topics including scope of practice and regulatory oversight.  The Government Relations department strives to ensure that the statutory and regulatory information contained in these documents is current. A thorough review of each state’s document occurred in 2012 and state information is updated as new laws or rules are implemented.

Please be advised that you must be signed in to the website as a member before you will be able to access individual state guidance documents. This link will navigate you to the ACNM Library page, from which you should choose "state guidance" from the ACNM Library "Category" drop-down menu. Kindly direct questions or comments to gr@acnm.orgmailto:gr@acnm.org.
