Our work is organized into four Sections, which are described below. The Section Chairs plus the Division Chair constitute the DOR Governing Board. Each new DOR member is asked to join a Section and work on its activities.

Research Advisory Section - (Inactive Section)

Research Development Section - Lisa Hanson, Chair

• Facilitates the research culture of ACNM
• Coordinates DOR activities at the ACNM Annual Meeting
• Develops specific activities to assist members in honing research skills
• Identifies and channels breaking midwifery research news
• Liaises with ACNM Program Committee and Public Relations

Networking Section – Katharine O’Dell, Chair

• DOR membership management
• Connects practice-based, academic, and student midwives interested in research
• DOR Web page oversight
• Research interest groups
• Liaison to International Confederation of Midwives Research Advisory Network
• Midwifery Research News

Data Information Management Section - Cara Krulewitch, Chair

• Develops and refines data collection about midwifery practice and education
• Data collection technology
• Practice-based Research Networks (PBRN)
• Liaison to ACNM Division of Standards and Practices (DOSP), Division of Education (DOE), and Directors of Medical Educators (DOME)
