This section includes websites that support some specific research endeavors conducted by midwives of the ACNM. They are not necessarily linked to the ACNM organization, but have some connections with the Division of Research and therefore are placed here for your convenience.

Practice-Based Research Networks
This link is maintained by Deborah Walker (dswalker@wayne.edu) and provides information to help practices network in order to gather broad, cumulative data about the practice of midwifery.

Minimal Data Sets
This site links to clinical data instruments to gather information and statistics about your clinical practice.

The Optimality Index-US Working Group
This is the site provides information about an instrument designed to gather data about ?best possible process & outcomes? of practice, rather than just looking at risk. There is an informal working group studying this concept and instrument.
