ACNM Offers Support to Members Affected by Hurricane Dorian

(Silver Spring, MD) – The American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) stand united with our members in the areas affected by Hurricane Dorian, and as we follow the progress of the storm, we are thinking of you and the women, individuals, and families you serve.

We understand that many of you may be facing significant damage to your homes, place of practice, and communities, as well as major flooding, power outages and other dangerous effects of the storm.

The leadership of the affected affiliates are closely monitoring the situation and sharing updates with us. You can find the updates and information, along with other hurricane-related resources and Q&As, on our website at www.midwife.org/Hurricane-FAQ. The page will be revised as we receive status updates from each impacted state.

Recovery from the destruction of the storm will undoubtedly take a long time, and ACNM is here to support you during the storm’s aftermath and recovery. Please do not hesitate to contact us.

Stay safe.
