On April 6th, ninety-one (91) members of the House of Representatives joined with Rep. Suzanne Bonomici (D-OR) and Rep. Rodney Davis (R-IL) in sending a letter to leaders of the Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education of the House Appropriations Committee expressing support for funding nursing workforce programs at $244 million for fiscal year 2018.  Nursing workforce programs authorized under Title VIII of the Public Health Service Act help support schools of nursing in their mission to educate future RNs and APRNs throughout the nation, including midwifery students.  

Many thanks to those who responded to ACNM’s call to action which was directed at midwifery program faculty and students.  Your advocacy helped with achieving this level of support.
