Midwifery Practice, Education & Global Outreach (MPEGO)


Elizabeth Hill-Karbowski, CNM, PhD, FACNM
Director of Midwifery Practice, Education, and Global Outreach (MPEGO)

  • Works as a liaison to assist within the volunteer leadership structure
  • Acts as a member resource regarding practice, business, and licensure and collaborates to meet the needs of CNMs/CMs
  • Along with other MPEGO team members, manages ACNM-related grants and projects
  • Represents ACNM with professional partners, including (but not limited to) AWHONN, ACOG, SMFM, HRSA, CDC, and AIM

  • Oversees all pre/accreditation policies, procedures, and processes for midwifery education programs
Kristina Anderson
Accreditation Assistant

  • Assists staff and commissioners in the processing and analysis of documentation submitted by accredited ACME programs during an accreditation period. 
  • Supports ACME staff in completing scheduled work on time and in accordance with ACME policies and procedures.
