Calling All Midwives Who are Preceptors and Educators!
Are you involved in the education of our next generation of women’s health care providers? Do you teach nurses? Or medical students? Or residents? Or midwifery students? Or all of them? Do you precept learners in your clinical practice?
If you are involved in nurturing learners (and that is probably nearly all of us!), please join the newly configured “Midwifery Educators Section” of the ACNM Division of Education at the Annual Meeting. We will come together for the first Annual “Midwifery Education” Workshop on Sunday, June 28 at 8:00AM. Following a general session on “What’s next in Interprofessional Education” and an update on HRSA Interprofessional Education activities, we will break out into 3 small groups – you can choose between the Midwifery Education Roundtable, the Midwives Who Teach Nurses group, and the Medical Education group for continued conversation. Please join us! The workshop still has some room in it!
If you are unable to come to the workshop, the 3 groups will also meet individually:
Please join us at any or all of these meetings to share and learn from your colleagues. We are very excited by this new opportunity to learn and grow as teachers and preceptors and to create an agenda for educators within ACNM.
If you are unable to come to the Annual Meeting please join our ACNM e-lists on the ACNM website. If you are interested in becoming involved in this group please e-mail Dawn Durain, CNM, the Midwifery Educators Section Chair at firstname.lastname@example.org.
