  • National marketing campaigns to make the public more aware of midwives and midwifery. Visit to see how ACNM is engaging the public and educating them about midwifery!
  • Updated in 2013: Evidence-Based Practice: Pearls of Midwifery presentation provides members with a tool to explain the art and evidence behind midwifery

  • Promoting greater professional recognition and identity
  • Consumer resources such as our new Normal Birth Consumer Document , the Share with Women handout series published by the Journal of Midwifery & Women's Health and the online Find A Midwife midwifery practice locator
  • Marketing midwifery by representing the profession at health care conventions and trade shows such as the American Public Health Association International Confederation of Midwives, and National Student Nurses Association
  • ACNM's Department of Global Outreach extends the mission with training and advocacy programs around the world
