ACNM Midwives‐PAC: Raising the Voice of Midwives, One Donation at a Time
The ACNM Midwives-PAC is your voice in Congress. We are a political action committee formed by ACNM in 2000 for the purpose
of soliciting voluntary contributions from ACNM members that can be
distributed strategically as campaign contributions to federal
legislators. Our mission is to to advance the midwifery profession through federal advocacy.
Specifically, in 2013, we want to advance the ACNM Legislative Agenda, which will push for four key bills: 1) allowing nurse-midwives to sit on medical staff with hospitals, 2) the MOMs 21 bill, 3) have midwives be reimbursed when supervising medical and midwifery students, and 4) creating maternity care provider shortage designation areas.
