The American College of Nurse-Midwives is
partnering with professional associations, private sector and global health
scholars in a public-private partnership that aims to ensure mothers, newborns,
and children can survive and thrive to their fullest potential. The
alliance will mobilize and equip senior volunteers from US, international, and
national professional associations to strengthen clinical competencies and
champion maternal newborn and child health programs through education and training, quality improvement approaches, and
the application of effective technologies and innovations. The alliance will
also nurture emerging leaders in global health by creating learning
opportunities for newly graduated clinicians through short-term internships in
global health programs and academic institutions.
More
information will be posted on this webpage as the Alliance develops. Stay tuned
as we finalize the framework and begin soliciting members to participate in
Survive and Thrive activities.
