ACNM and AABC Collaboration Helps Lead to Landmark DC Ruling ACNM is pleased to announce a compelling judicial victory for autonomous midwifery practice at the state level. A decision rendered by the highest court of the District of Columbia, Gilbert v. Miodovnik, affords clear acknowledgment of independent accountability among maternity care clinicians. ACNM and AABC collaborated on an amicus brief for this case. An attempt to seek a rehearing of the decision was recently denied.
