About the 61st Annual Meeting
We’re heading home to New Mexico for the ACNM 61st Annual Meeting & Exhibition, coming up fast May 21-26 in Albuquerque. ACNM first incorporated 61 years ago in New Mexico, and today the state serves as a shining example of what US midwifery could look like – what we think US midwifery should look like.
Midwifery’s horizon is, indeed, enchanting. In 2013, midwives attended a record proportion of US births. ACNM is leading the midwifery community to advance midwifery and women’s health on a national scale. We’re attracting the attention of policymakers, health care providers, and women with our excellent outcomes demonstrated through decades of evidence-based research and new data collection initiatives.
At the ACNM 61st Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Albuquerque, midwives and other women’s health care experts will convene to continue reaching for the horizon by exploring ways to enhance the quality of care we provide and expand our impact even further into mainstream care for women across the country. This meeting celebrates our rich history and calls on us to channel our strengths in new, more effective, and more diverse ways to enhance the health care of women throughout the lifespan.
